The L5 iPhone remote combines a dock-connected IR transmitter and an iPhone OS app to let you control anything (well, any home theater gear with an infrared receiver) from your phone via a fully customizable interface.
At first glance I love the idea, but the UI looks cheesy. Also, unless one is meant to keep the transmitter attached to their cell phone at all times, can you imagine how much more annoying it would be to lose it in their couch instead of a full-size remote?
